Hi all,

This morning I was woken up by bad news. My grandfather (on my mom's side) passed away this morning at ~6:00 a.m. E.S.T. (sigh)

(a moment of silence)

My mom is on her way home now (she's in San Francisco). I was going to wait until she got back home to tell her, but unfortunately, she beat me to the punch. She found out when she called one of my uncles out in Cali. Most likely, she'll have to bear that horrendously long plane ride again within the week. I'm going to try and go with her this time.

The last time I saw my Grandfather was when I was in Tawan during September 2001.
