Happy Halloween Eve,

Whether it's still called Devil's night or has been rebranded as Angel's night, hope you're having a good one. It's the eve of the only night during the year when it's ok for kids to get (and consume) candy from complete strangers. On any other days, you're supposed to run in the opposite direction. Funny how that happens, huh?

A similar thing happens when you're looking to buy someone's house. An open house is the only time when it's socially acceptable (unless you're a burglar) to totally roam around a complete stranger's house. You can look in closets (check out how stylish the house owners are), cabinets (if they're eating well), basements (what they're hiding), rooms (clean or messy), pretty much wherever you want.

Anyway, today at work, I decided that everyone's a bit wacky in their own special way. We all have our quirks and compulsions. Some people just have different levels. There are people that are mildy quirky, and there are others that are totally nutty. I still haven't decided yet where the line from quirky to nuttiness is drawn. Or, is everyone just nutty, and we all have different skill levels of hiding it? Ahh, the mysteries of life. Something to ponder.

Make sure you have enough candy tomorrow. Oh yeah, make sure it's good too. You don't want to be known to the kids as "that house." Nobody wants to be "that house."

Take it easy,
Kirk
